Elysburg is a prime location for new businesses. We already have some
great businesses downtown, who could also benefit from downtown
improvements.
A few things hold downtown back from
bringing in more investment: lack of parking, curb appeal, pedestrian
infrastructure, lack of green space, no local business development
program to guide/assist businesses.
There are also a
few improvements that can be made to greatly improve the quality of life
of residents of Elysburg: paths connecting housing developments to
downtown and Memorial Park; sidewalks along Market, Center, and Mill
Streets; Market Street lighting.
What are your thoughts on downtown Elysburg?
If
people want Elysburg to 'stay the same,' what is it exactly that should
be preserved? What assets can we build on, what weaknesses can we
strengthen?
